How KANDLES tiles work
Each colored square represents a consonant or vowel sound using a consistent phonetic mapping. Black encodes strong guttural stops (like aleph and ayin), blue encodes liquid sounds (lamed, resh), gold/yellow encodes yod and heh sounds, and so on. Reading the grid from left to right, top to bottom mirrors the Hebrew reading direction — right to left — revealing the phonetic skeleton of the text at a glance.
