Extortion is like Shedding Blood

Egypt shall be a desolation, and
Edom shall be a desolate wilderness,
for the extortion of the children
of Judah, because they have shed
innocent blood in their land.

The verse here considers extortion like
the shedding of innocent blood.
And it says with regard to a famine:

And the Lord said: It is for Saul,
and for his bloody house, because
he put to death the Gibeonites.
