| Sage 2 | Shall we appoint Yehoshua? |
| Sage 1 | We can't do that for he personally is invovled in the incident. |

| Sage 1 | We can't do that either for perhaps
Gamliel will cause punishment to befall him and he will die because he does not have the merit of the righteous Forefathers to protect him. |
