Passage Content
How many important laws can be
learned from the verse relating to Hanna!
Now Hannah, she was
speaking in her heart.
From here we learn that one who prays
must direct his heart towards God.
Only her lips moved.
From here we derive that one who prays
must pronounce the words with his lips.
Note 42: It is insufficient to just think the words.
One must actually say them.
But her voice was not heard.
From here we derive that it is forbidden
to raise one's voice during prayers.
So Eli thought her a drunkard.
From here we derive that a drunkard is not permitted to pray.
Note 44, because he is incapable of concentrating.
