Berachos 31b § 2
Poor Man Demands Bread
View Mode
Passage Content
This is similar to a king of flesh and blood
who made a feast for his servants.
A poor person came and stood by the door,
But everyone ignored him so he pushed
his way in and went right infront of the king
who made a feast for his servants.
A poor person came and stood by the door,
| Poor Man | Give me a piece of bread |
But everyone ignored him so he pushed
his way in and went right infront of the king
| Poor Man | My Lord, the king! Out of the
entire feast that you made, Is it difficult in your eyes to give me one piece of bread? |
