Since Moses knew the exact moment of midnight,
why did he say "at about midnight"?
Moses thought that Pharaoh's astrologers
might err in the their calculation
of the precise midpoint of the night,
and say, "Moses is a liar."
Moses caution was based
on a lesson taught elsewhere:
Teach your tongue to say, "I don't know".
lest you be caught in a falsehood
