Berachos 7b § 4
Do Not Conted with the Wicked

Passage Content
If you see a wicked person who is enjoying
good fortune, do not contend with him,
His ways are always successful
And not only that but he is victorious in judgment,
Your judgments are far removed from him
And not only that but he will even witness the downfall of his foes
All his foes, he puffs at them
In any case, one should not contend with the wicked:
how can this be reconciled with the idea
that one may contend with the wicked?
Don't antogonize the wicked in regard to one's person affairs.
But do antogonize the wicked in reference to Heavenly affairs,
to defend Torah and mitzvos.
