Idolatry to Allow Immorality

Question:  Why did the Jews of earlier
      generations get involved in Idolatry?
Answer:    The Jews knew that there is no
      substance to idolatry but they
      engaged in it only to permit for
      themselves open sexual immorality.

remembering of their sons.
Question:  Did the Jews long for idolatry like
      a father who longs after his son?
Answer:   That was after they became
      attached and addicted to Idolatry.
